I'm getting the following repeating dialog at start up on v12 after using Excel 2010 for the first time.

"COM returned an unexpected error code: Details are  RPC_E_SYS_CALL_FAILED"

Seeing as I am not the only one getting this after Excel, has anyone come across a fix yet?

        Thanks Marty,

I had downloaded v12.5, but had not installed because I'm 30 days away from a 80,000 word document deadline.  I saw the posts concerning update difficulties here, and did not want to risk it.

However, I now had nothing to lose .. so I took your suggestion. wink

I installed from the file (not within DNS12), and everything appears OK.  I'm not getting the warning dialogs now.

Since I combined all the chapters into one Word 2010 document at 80k words, I find that DNS12 is struggling.  I could understand that if I did not have a power laptop, but I have got a core i7 with 16Gb of RAM .  I have turned off some of the unused features of DNS12, and I'm only multitasking with Word 2010; but I'm still getting occasional insufficient resource messages on the Dragon Bar.angry

Anyway I can get round the problem by dictating into an empty document and cutting and pasting; but it's hardly as advertised.crying

Hi I got this error message this morning when I tried to launch Dragon 12.0, no other programmes were open.

I would try the suggestions on this page but someone has removed them :-(
