This is p poor customer service. To download the new version DNP12 the download times are 8 hours. The network administrators do not understand that the downloads should never be throttled. This just makes everyone slow and results in many, many angry customers.
I have tried towe computer with a high speed 35Mbps/35Mbps Internet link and a Gbps LAN backbone with IE and Firefox and all downloads are 7 to 8 hours when with this network configuration being used it should be 3 to 5 minutes. The Windows 7 computer clocks out at a 6.8 Windows Experience Index.
Consequently I am forced to run as many simultaneous downloads - throttling the servers even more - to see which one finishes reliably first. Because of the long download druation and the stormy weather, power went out mid download and required me to restart them all.
If there were no throttling, this would have all been complete hours ago and many more customers would have been happy.
I had tried to download at 12:01 last night to avoid something like this, but apparently the availability claim of Aug 3rd was false because I could not download at that time. I am sure that you took my money Aug 2nd when I ordered.
Again really p poor customer support. I am obviously not happy. That is an understatement.
